Salzburg, Austria

Salzburg: the city of music. The city where music is always in the air!

Listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, the fourth largest city in Austria offers magical sceneries with the backdrop of the Alps that scrape the sky. The churches, the squares, the narrow cobbled lanes…
First thing to notice while wandering around town is the magical atmosphere that’s created by the harmony of the classical music that whisks out of every single corner of the side streets.
This Baroque Old Town is deservedly called the “Rome of the North” due to its dramatic architectural layout.

Must-Visit: Hohensalzburg Fortress, Mirabell Palace and Gardens, the DomQuartier, Mozart’s Residence and the banks of the Salzach River (better on a sunny day).

Must-Dine: Zum Fidelen Affen, a restaurant with an amazing atmosphere, cosy wood-panelled walls and incredibly delicious local food. And beer, of course 😉

Winter in Kitz

Kitzbühel, a small town near Tyrol which is located in the heart of the Austrian Alps, is considered to be one of the most best-known winter holiday resorts of Austria.

Built on a long ridge of hills, the old town of Kitzbühel offers spectacular sceneries with the highlight of the colourful traditional town houses. As it’s famous for its magical passageways and breathtaking views, I would highly recommend you to take a horse & carriage ride for a more romantic tour around town.

It’s said that “the glamour of the big wide world is reflected in Kitzbühel in a smaller version”. Charming cafés, gourmet restaurants, lively nightlife and exclusive shopping. The outstanding beauty of the Alps will never disappoint you, be sure about it! 😉

P.S. Don’t forget to try some of the Tyrollean traditional dishes such as the Kasspatzln (cheesy gnocchi) and of course the typical Wiener Schnitzel.
